let me tell you a story...
ever since I moved into my house, every morning when I go out
to pick up the paper, I hear this bird singing. When I told people
that the song sounded like 'peder, peder, peder...',
well, they looked at me and slowly backed away while saying 'right..' |

Finally, in May 2002, I found my proof.
I was visiting the
Heard Natural Science Museum and Wildlife Sanctuary and saw a small plaque
that described the bird and it's song.
